Even today amidst the chaos of the thousands of pilgims and tourists that flock to Bethlehem the Nativity Grotto still gives you the creeps. You cannot just sit there and not get carried away in your immagination to hear the birth pangs of the mother and the birth cry of the son! And in faith you just let your tongue hum a popular Christmas Carol and realise that in Bethlehem the Christmas spirit lives on day after day, year after year. The Friars, daily celebrate the Eucharist at the Manger and at noon perform a procession around the Holy Places. Here pilgrims sing Christmas Carols daily praising the Lord for so much love He has shown towards the World. And the faint voice of the angels singing "Peace on Earth" arrives to the deep intmacy of the heart.

雖然今日的白冷聖誕地窟因大量朝聖者及遊客的混亂湧入讓你感到不舒服，你也不能只是單單坐在那裡而不運用你的想像去傾聽母親生產的痛苦及嬰孩初生時的啼哭！在信仰中你只要哼一首通俗的聖誕歌曲，你就會明瞭到聖誕節的精神在白冷無時無刻不存在。修士們每天在馬槽慶祝感恩祭而夜裡在聖地遊行。朝聖者每天以聖誕歌曲向天主祈禱，因祂這麼的愛而向世界顯示祂自己，而眾天使低吟著唱著「在世平安」直達內心深處。
